Through years of trial and error, we have found what has worked best in the hands of professional stylists and groomers.  American Sharpening founder Bruce (aka "Mr. America") Nihart has designed stainless steel in combination with specific alloys that you are sure to love.  American Sharpening shears measure to a 62 Rockwell hardness by combining special alloys to give a sharp, long-lasting predictable cut and will outlast many of today's 'high-end' shears on the market.  After 20 years of sharpening overrated products, Bruce was adamant on creating a high-quality shear that was also reasonably priced.
